L-E 9 Lakewood 2, Dissapointing display of sportsmanship. Check this out 3 red cards, like 4 yellows, and this is a good one, one of their players was hurt and we had the ball so we kicked it out of bounds so the kid could get help. #12-Fathead. And they took the throw in and didn't throw it to us. I mean..I dunno maybe they didn't get why we would just kick the ball out.

Took a while for L-E to get going in this match...I forget what it was at the half I think 5-0. Then Lakewood scored 1 good goal (with our starters out) and then we scored the other 4 and then their 2nd goal was off a bad call PK. Called a foul in the box from a slide tackle that was legal and he got all ball, the guys just fell over him after the slide. So anyways...9-2 but it will probably be a forfeit because Lakewood didn't have enough players to finish the match. The refs called the match with like 7:00 minutes to go...thats a bunch of crap though. So 9-2 L-E is at 6-2 and who knows what Lakewood is at now.

Not poor sportsmanship...just frustration over bad calls. Maybe the cards were deserved, maybe they weren't, but some of them were ridiculous and if you tell yourself otherwise, well...have at it.
About the throw in...we have a few people on our team that still haven't learned all the "rules" about "soccer etiquite" (not sure about spelling). All I know is that I appreciated the ball being kicked out and was dissappointed when my team didn't give the courtesy throw in.
I don't think the score reflected the game though...we had a key player missing practically the whole game for his red card.
Oh well...what's done is done. Good game LE. Hope that you all don't come to the next match w/ a grudge toward anyone b/c we won't. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Brookland-Cayce's Jabari Seabrook scored all three goals for the Bearcats as B-C downed Region 5-3A rival Newberry 3-1 at Bulldog Stadium Tuesday night.

Seabrook tallied two scores in the first 12 minutes as B-C raced to a 2-0 lead, but a direct kick from the Bulldogs' Russell Vedder at the 31-minute mark pulled Newberry within one goal at intermission.

Seabrook rounded out the scoring at the 57-minute mark for the first "hat trick" by a Bearcat this season. The win moves B-C to 7-4-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 5, while the loss dropped #8 Newberry to 8-2 and 0-2.

The Bearcats, winners in four of their last five outings, outshot the Bulldogs 25-8 and both goalkeepers turned in solid performances as B-C's Cory Smith registered six saves, while Newberry's Devin Saxon recorded 18.

B-C, which has played nine of its' first 12 matches away from the "Friendly Confines" of The Cage, returns to Cayce this Friday for an important region match with Lexington County upstart White Knoll (4-4-1, 0-1). On Saturday, Brookland-Cayce will entertain Class 2A #3 Waccamaw (8-3) at 11 a.m.

At White Knoll

In a physical game, The Timberwolves defeated The Rebels 5 - 0. In the first half, after multiple shots, forward David Talamas put one home from the top of the box in the 22nd minute. At the half, White Knoll 1 Strom Thurmond 0.
In the second half, Freshman mid-fielder Matt Low put two goals in the back of the net and it was White Knoll the rest of the way. Goals were added by senior Felipe Alquicira and junior Bryan Fallaw.
The defense for Timberwolves stepped up and secured the shutout.
