The way Dutch Fork has come on strong at the end of the season are they pretenders or contenders? I think not because they are too young and inexperienced to do anything in the playoffs. They did lose 13 seniors and i expect nothing of them.
MAybe you should ask Greenwood and Dorman
i agree with links5 i dont think that dutch fork will have a chance. They lost 13 seniors and now have a new coach. The only experice they have in the play-offs is the 2 returning starters. They will most likely fall first round no matter which region 8 team they play.
I like wando and spring valley in the lowerstate finals
They will win a few games, they are peaking at the ideal time, but I doubt that they will get past Spring Valley in the Lowerstate. Still should be considered a very good year for Dutch Fork if they can get to the Third Round with their youth and the coaching change.
Why is everybody jumping on their bandwagon now? Nobody thought they were going to do anything at the beginning of the season and now yall think they will do damage in the playoffs? Come on yall be realistic.
Like 20champ04 said, they are peaking at the ideal time. I wouldn't sleep on them.
It's not how you start, it's how you finish. DF is playing good ball right now. The lowerstate is weaker overall so if they can meet up with Wando or SV deep in the playoffs they might be able to pull off the upset.
Contender... took Spring Valley into PK's a week ago.
definitely playing their best ball at the right time. they do lack experience and wando may be one of the toughest places to go play during playoff time, (assuming they win the first round game) but i think one of the biggest differences from years past is how well coach woodward will have those kids prepared to play in a pretty hostile atmosphere. its nice to finally see a DF team overachieve (i think they already have: two returning starters and only four players with varsity experience) in what was thought to be a rebuilding year after underachieving and losing in the second round two years in a row with quality (pre-season #1 and #2) "experienced" teams.
Pretender, have done well lately but won't be able to sustain it.
The kid has the ability to strap the team on his back and carry them through the first two games of the state playoffs.
You have to respect that.
If they can beat Dorman and Greenwood, then they CAN beat Wando. I'm not saying they will, but it is within the realm of possibility.
