4A:
Upperstate Irmo v. Northwestern
Lowerstate Spring Valley v. Wando

*Spring Valley and Northwestern have met for the last two 4A Finals. They met earlier this year @ NHS with Spring Valley capturing the win via penalty kicks.

3A:

*No Lowerstate team has ever won a 3A state championship. Riverside and Eastside both claimed championships in 2006 and 2005, respectively.

2A:
Upperstate Emerald v. Walhalla
Lowerstate Waccamaw v. Bishop England

1A:
Upperstate Southside Christian v. Christ Church
Lowerstate Gov's School v. Academic Magnet

BC vs Chapin

It was Destiny that these two teams would meet again.

As with the BC girls and Airport, so will it be the BC guys and Chapin.

3A Lowerstate Final:
Brookland-Cayce @ Chapin -- 7:00 @ Cecil Woolbright Stadium
Posted By: sG Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/12/08 05:58 PM
NW vs SV in 4A final

Riverside vs BC in 3A final

Emarald vs BE in 2A final

Christ Church vs AM in 1A final

NW wins 3-2
Riverside wins 2-1
BE wins 2-1
CC wins 3-1

NW is at the top of there game, SV is as well but when NW is on fire they can't be stopped, they get redemption from last year.

BC is on a run but I think Riverside is just too strong and will come out on top.

BE continues their 2A domination, but im gonna say Joseph
Taylor and Emerald will give them a run for their money.

CC just too strong and wins it.

I just don't see BC being able to beat Chapin. While it is very hard to beat a quality side three times in a year, I just think that Chapin is the better team and it will show it in the Lowerstate Final
Posted By: scballa Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 02:29 AM
i think joseph taylor and walter nunez from emerald will do work on BE if both teams end up in the chamionship game
Posted By: ehs1 Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 02:32 AM
scballa b realistic they are both good players. i personally hope they can make it 2 and win the 2a state championship. but emerald will need more than just those two 2 beat BE.
Posted By: scballa Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 02:53 AM
but its joseph taylor we are talking bout here come on..he could easily start on LEXINGTON isnt that right ehs1

3A:
Upperstate Riverside v. Eastside
Lowerstate Brookland-Cayce v. Chapin

_______

Porter-Gaud, Bishop England and Middleton, are the not lowerstate?

They won when there was a single 3A/2A/1A classification championship match, prior to 1993.

Middlton HS in Charleston has won state championships and they were lowerstate.

Emerald does have a 3rd all state player you know???
Posted By: palmtreeglee Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 07:24 PM
I'll tell you what, that Waccamaw BE game tonight should be a good one. It has developed into quite a rivalry that BE holds the upper hand in, but it is ALWAYS close. Worth the admission price for sure.
Posted By: ehs1 Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 08:02 PM
yes emeralds 3rd allstater and the rest of the team will have 2 play well 2 win. yes jo could start on lex, but every one of lexingtons players would b 2a all state
Posted By: jkr Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/13/08 10:06 PM
joseph taylor and walter nunez both contribute alot to emerald's soccer but it will definitely come down to the work ethic and talent of the younger players....jeremy tommie, hunter riddle, and blake loggins.

AAAA - Northwestern

how bout riverside coming up on top for the upperstate.....great game
Posted By: soccertennis Re: Final Four Matchups - 05/14/08 04:06 AM
Walter nunez and joesph taylor for Emerald are the leaders of the Emerald team but they have some good young players surrounding them ,in fact the young guys stepped up to score the goals for emerald with joeseph setting up with the assit, yes it was three sophmores who scored for Emerald , Hunter Riddle, Noe Duarte and jeremy Tommie.

Good luck guys against Bishop England
