One noticeable thing about the playoffs is that there are twice as many ranked teams in the upper state half of the brackets. Ten of the top 15 and seven of the top ten are in the upper state.
Mauldin vs Westside and Wren vs Spartanburg are the only matchups of two ranked teams in the first round.

I can see an unranked team taking out a ranked team in the first round of the 4A state playoffs.

A few corrections to these predictions...I think Blythewood will beat Clover and West Ashley will beat White Knoll in regulation.
If Clover plays the way they are capable, they should be Blythewood. Question will be which Clover team shows up.

I called a hotel next to Memorial Stadium in Columbia today and they told me they were all booked for the 22nd. Whole bunch of people from Mt. Pleasant basically got the place to themselves. Sounds like there's going to be a big party there that night.
