Now the real fun begins.

Upper State-
Of the 8 teams left five of them have 3 or less losses.

We get a 22-0 team vs a 20-2 team and a 19-1-1 vs a 15-3. Should be some tight games.

My predictions:
Mann wins, but Wade should get a goal or two since they have only been shut out once all year. Perhaps a 3-1 or 2-1 type game.

Irmo v Lancaster- if there is an upset this could be it. 14-8-1 vs 16-6 should be a tight game.

Fort Mill v Blythewood. FM won the viking cup match 1-0. At home I am thinking 2-0. I am not sure Blythewood gets a goal in a tight game. FM has only allowed 2 goals since mid March and both were late game goals after the outcome was pretty much determined. BTW FM and Wando are the only teams to shut out Blythewood all year so it should be tight.

Dorman v Hanna. Dorman beat Hanna 1-0 at Dorman earlier this year so I would guess Dorman in a tight game. Hanna doesn't allow a lot of goals and Dorman doesn't score a lot so this should be close.

Lower State -
Who cares
Perhaps next round will be interesting.

Seem to remember you saying the higher seeds would win out in first round, you got that one right so...

Got to say wow to Lancaster! from 5-9 at home last year at playoff time to 9-5, winning 2nd in region and taking first round playoff victory, now that's a nice turn around! Good job coach and players!

Well looks like there was an upset of a #1 in Lower state.

But when you are 9-6 and end up #1 it says more about your region than anything else.

All three region six teams lost yesterday.

They should move Academic Magnet and Bishop England up to 4a and that region would have a decent team or two.

BTW it is going to be close to 90 tomorrow so heat could be a factor in these games.

Friday should be back into the mid 70s and mid 80s on Monday.

Wade Hampton doesnt't score unless there is a pk. Dont base Wade Hampton om their schedule. Should be a 5-0 game at best. Look for Wade Hampton to play one up top and pack it in.

Mann only beat them 3-1 in the playoffs last year and Wade Hampton was 9-9 last year.

Wade Hampton looks to be the best team Mann has played all year so it should be a good game.

Academic Magnet, Wade Hampton, Waccamaw, BE

My take on Upper is:

4A Mann, Irmo, Fort Mill, Dorman
3A Eastside, Wren but have feeling River Bluff, Chapin another good one against Greenville, Woodruff in toss up game with Seneca
2A Christ Church, Pendleton, St. Joseph's, Indian Land

and know one probably still cares. ;-)

I look for Pelion to pull the upset on Wade Hampton (H) tonight in 2A.
