According to the South Carolina High School League website (and I'm sure this is incomplete/unofficial), three girls have scored at least 100 goals in their South Carolina high school careers:

Bryn Post (RNE), 2002 = 220
Liz Speights (Wando), 1996 = 148
Claire Wigfall (Wando), 2001 = 141

Tonight, at home against Lancaster, Fort Mill's Danielle Schmitt will attempt to join this elite group. Danielle is currently at 97.

Hurst...Do you have a tab on her assists? From what I've seen she is very, very unselfish....

Good luck to her! She will be there shortly! She is a great team player!
From what you've seen? Would that be on the field?

FM's Schmitt's hat trick gives her 100 career goals

FORT MILL -- Danielle Schmitt, the leading scorer in Fort Mill High School girls' soccer history, scored three goals Monday night, giving the senior 100 for her career as the Lady Jackets beat Lancaster 8-0 and closed in on their third consecutive region 3-AAAA title.
Schmitt opened the second half at 42:30 by heading in a direct kick from Jamie Gillette. At 49:11, Rachel Datz looped a pass over Schmitt's head which the she converted for her second goal of the night. Finally, with 15:30 left to play, Schmitt worked her magic in the box, freeing herself from stabbing defenders, and sending the final goal into the net.

anonymous, are you sure about Bryn's goals? that's unbelievable.
I have no idea, thats what i was asking.
Its only a little more then 50 a season, which is amazing but not completely impossible. Danielle would probably be up there if Ft. Mill didn't change things up after the first 6 or 7 goals. Like one touch and headers. If they were allowed to just play all out then she would have probably hit 100 her sophmore or junior year. She would probably score 30-40 in just 4 games against Rock Hill and Gaffney. But as established in previous posts that doesn't make anybody better (running up the scores).
but yeah, i don't know if 220 is accurate or not
Congrats to Danielle!! I have played with her on a club team, she guest played, and she really was talented!

What is the record for all girls?

Does anyone have information on this Post girl. I don't understand how someone from RNE which plays Spring Valley, Irmo, Dutch Fork, and Ridge View twice a year has so many goals. How does someone score 55 goals per season on average against, these teams in their region. I could understand if its in FM's region where you play rock hill, gaffney, and lancaster 6 times during the season, but not the level of teams that RNE plays twice every year. I'm just curious if this is an accurate number, because I can't even begin to understand how this is possible, were these teams not as good 5 years ago or what. I do not wish to discredit Ms. Post with her goals, I just want to know how its possible.
