Anyone have any thoughts on the field dimension of Stone Field and possible impact on the girl’s games? Obviously, it’s a wider/longer pitch than most HS players/teams are use to playing on and I do believe it does distract from the quality of play from a attacking standpoint. It’s more the length than the width and the impact on back and forth play between the team’s attacking 3rd.

Its a great facility but I feel the field size distracts from the run of play on the girl's side.

More space gives the players more 1 v 1 opportunities. I think that shows the skills of the individual players as well as facilitates each school's playing style. Why should we not be excited about the best in SC, some moving on to the college level, playing soccer the way it should be!?!? I'm pumped already!

This has been addressed in past years. Last year, for instance, the dimensions were reduced to 116 x 67 for the weekend as opposed to 120 x 72 the couple of years prior. This will once again be recommended and hopefully implemented next month at USC's Stone Stadium.

Don't touch that field! Large pitches are better for offensive people and makes counter attacks from teams that lay back less of a threat.
