GHMS Girls finish the season 16-0-0 giving up only 4 goals and scoring well over 60 with wins over 6 JV squads this year. The graduating 8th graders went somthing like 30-1-1 over the two years they played, with two undefeated regulars seasons. Looking foward to some very good HS years at FM for these ladies!

Big Game at Westside tonight for JV Girls Soccer

TL Hanna JV Girls are 11-1 / 9-0 in the region
Westside JV Girls are 11-1 / 8-1 in the region

TL Hanna won the first match at TL Hanna 5-1.

Great season for the Lady Jackets with 6 shutouts and they have outscored their opponents 54-6 (I think).

Also a great season for the Lady Rams with 5 shutouts and they have outscored their opponents 34-12 (I think).

A Hanna win gives them the outright JV Region title (Which of course we all know there is no such thing, but in a crosstown rivalry match you've gotta make it out to be as big as possible).

A Westside win would split the pseudo JV region title and give Westside its 2nd ever victory over TL Hanna at the JV Girls levels.

Congrats to both teams, a lot of these young girls play for CASA (Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance) and some of the credit for their success has to be given to the coaches and trainers that work with them at the club level as well.

Hope it's a great game and best of luck to all involved!

Congratulations to the Westside JV Girls on a hugely successful 2010 season. The Lady Rams JV squad finishes with a 13-4 overall record, 8-2 record in Region I-AAAA play, and notched wins over Wren, Eastside, Greenwood, Seneca, Easley, Pendleton, and Laurens.

These girls have steadily increased their win total over the last four years under coach Thomas Frederickson, with records of 2-12 in 2007, 5-12-2 in 2008, 8-6 in 2009, and 13-4 in 2010.

The skill level continues to improve, more and more girls are becoming interested in soccer, more and more are participating at the club level, and school pride is at an all time high at Westside and the middle school level. Thanks for all you do girls!
