Gray Collegiate Academy will host the Third Annual WAR EAGLE BJV KICKOFF preseason tournament to be held February 19-21, 2021 at the West Columbia Soccer Complex. The tournament will be open to Boys JV teams. We plan to field a tournament with 8-12 teams. Divisions will be considered depending on number of team entries.

• Teams are guaranteed three matches (weather permitting). No refunds if the tourney is canceled due to inclement weather.
• 30-minute halves; 7-minute halftime;
• 12 team tourney - Point System: WIN = 6 points / TIE = 3 points / LOSS = 0 points / 1 point for every goal to 3 / 1 point for a shutout / -1 point for Yellow Card Ejection (two yellows) / -2 points for a straight Red Card Ejection
• Team listed first will wear DARK colors. The team listed second will wear WHITE/LIGHT colors.
• Semifinals and Championship matches will play via SCHSL rules: Two 5-minute overtimes and then penalty kicks if necessary.

Congratulations to the A.C. Flora JV boys squad which captured the War Eagle JV Kickoff Classic hosted by Gray Collegiate Academy.
The Final was a "fowl affair", as the Falcons (3-1-0) defeated the host War Eagles (3-1-0), 3-0, to culminate the third annual event - the 2020 session was canceled by the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission (LCRAC) due to poor field conditions after some inclement weather prior to the tournament. ACF led 1-0 at halftime and extended the lead to the final margin in the first 15 minutes of the final stanza.
However, a dozen matches were completed this weekend despite terrible weather leading up to the tournament. GCA has hosted this tourney each season since 2018 and this year's field featured eight teams - several with restrictions on how many games could be played in a day, intervals between playing, etc. Thanks Covid-19! But, everyone involved made it possible and the fields held up pretty decent.
Kudos to all of the teams, officials, fans, and trainers for their flexibility and appreciative attitudes of getting these contests played. Good luck in 2021!
We hope to see even more teams in 2022 at the War Eagle JV Kickoff Classic!
Thanks for hosting the tournament this weekend, when a lot of other host tournaments would not have played. The kids were glad to be able to get out of the house and run around! An excellent run tournament!
