i was wondering the same. i think the games started 30 minutes later, which led to the refs starting the varisty game on time so that it would not end very late.
i would have liked to have seen an overtime/pk shootout though!
JV games are to be decided in overtime/penalty kicks, but only if this can be done without delaying the start of the varsity match per Roger Hazel of the HSL.
I think Rock Hill uses the Castle Heights middle school field and they start JV matches at 6:00 PM instead of 5:30 PM due to middle school activities.

A great game that was fun to watch with a lot of action on both sides of the field. Plenty of scoring opportunities on both ends; Berkeley just couldn't quite find the net, but gave a good, hard physical effort that took them to the brink time and time again. PG scored on a great effort by a forward who chased a loose ball off the Berkeley keeper across the goal and turned it in just before it went out of bounds. Great game by both teams--enjoyed watching it!

Man, that little forward for Woodruff has got some wheels!!! After a 4-2 score at halftime and a quick goal to start the second half by Woodruff, I was proud to see the lady Jackets calm down and stop the runs for the last 25 minutes. Our level of play picked up dramatically. I just wish we could have put some goals in ourselves!
