Coastal got another win Friday night beating VMI 1-0; Ashleigh Gunning scored the goal in the 78th minute; I could not make the match but it must have been a tight one. Coastal is holding its destiny to win the Big South regular season title and get the no. 1 seed. They had senior night friday nigh, too. Chelsea Terry-James Island and Blair Monroe-North Myrtle Beach were among the honored.

Chelsea has missed much of the season with a bruised hip. Hopefully, she will be back for the Big South tournament.

VMI and CSU tied 1-1; it said on coastal's website that vmi and another school can get a piece of the conference title if coastal loses to high point; if coastal wins they win it outright and i am sure the other schools have to win too. so hopefully ccu takes it all...

Due to VMI losing to PC, Coastal Women's Soccer can earn a piece of the title or win it outright on saturday; they have to win or tie to earn it outright and will be the 3rd time they won the title...GO CCU!!!!

Good Luck to Coastal, even though my daughter played for HPU and upset them in tournament finals last year. Fun team to watch and two very dangerous players in Monroe and Gunning. Hope they get their due this year! Seems like regular season champ never wins tournament.

VMI is the surprise. Think they have won more conference games this season than the previous seasons all together. A lot of dangerous teams in tournament with a good 4-5 having a legit chance at winning.

there are no guarantees in that big south tourney; being associated with coastal for 2 years and having a high seed meant nothing; anything can happen and has at that tourney. always fun and exciting, you can't look past anyone and yes VMI could be a sleeper. Their coach has done a great job
