Kyle,

This guy who writes for soccernet says this is the way to take three points off Arsenal!!!! I sure hope Sir Bobby reads this!

I guess Portsmouth manager Harrry Redknapp didn't read this article, because Arsenal is slaughtering his Pompey side 3-0 at halftime on the South Coast!

Goals from Thierry Henry (25'), Freddie Ljungberg (43'), and Kolo Toure (45') have pretty much assured the Gunners place in the Semifinals of the historic FA Cup. Arsenal is the two-time defending champion of England's oldest trophy and is trying to win the title for the third consecutive season -- something that has not been accomplished since the 19th century.

In other FA Cup action, Manchester United edged Fulham 2-1 on the strength of two goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Millwall will face Tranmere and Sunderland will host Sheffield United on Sunday to complete the Quarterfinals stage.
The Posh had Arsenal under pressure for the first 20-odd minutes. Some heavy tackling prevented the Arse from settling and things looked bright until Henry got on the end of a deflected thru ball meant for Reyes....then the floodgates opened. Portsmouth played much better (hit the post and the bar) than the scoreline suggests and it was an entertaining match by all accounts.

Final Score -- Arsenal 5-1 Portsmouth ... The Gunners led 5-0 early in the second half on goals from Henry (50') and Ljungberg (57') and Pompey got on the board in the 90th minute on a goal by Teddy Shearingham ... Arsenal are in the FA Cup semi-finals for the fourth successive year.

Arsene Wenger's side have won the famous old trophy in the last two season and reached the final in 2001 (losing 2-1 to Liverpool with both goals coming in the final 10 minutes for Gerard Houlier's side). They are now one game away from going to Cardiff again after sweeping aside Portsmouth's challenge in this all-action Sixth Round tie at Fratton Park.
