Clemson up to #3. Play #7 Tar Heels at home Friday.
USC back in top 25.

Six of the top nine teams in the country are from the ACC. Wow!
Look at Clemson's schedule with current rankings-
beat #22 USC & #1 Maryland, then play #7 UNC, #2 VA, #18 VA Tech., #9 Wake Forest, #4 Duke. Tough schedule.
Quite a difference in rankings-
USC #22 in one and #10 in another.
Clemson #2.

WV top ten.
No Indiana. No Lobos.
Hmmmmm...
If the Hillbillytoppers beat VA tonite, there will be a lot of mountain moonshine flowing in Morgantown..........
Longwood 0 Clemson 0 at 60'
Longwood must be packing it in. They lost to Wofford and are
1-3 on the season. Should be a law against packing it in in college. Thats high school stuff.
Richards and Buchholz score 2-0 Clemson
21 to 6 in shots for Clemson
9 to 0 in corners.. LOTS of fouls on both sides.
WVU sobers-up with a 2-1 loss to UVA.
How many goals does Richards have this season?
According to the Clemson Athletic site as of Sept. 19, Dane Richards is tied with Frederico Moojen with 7 goals each.
Both USC and Clemson fall in this ranking. But look at the 6 ACC teams in top 10. Clemson needs a win tonite v. Wake.

Clemson should get back on track against Furman.....but next Wednesday night's match at Winthrop could be a great one!
If Winthrop adopts NCSU's shell game tactics they might keep the score within 2-3 goals
Compare the crowd numbers at MD/Duke game v. the bigtime UCLA/Wash. game. With Clemson crowds of 6800 and 7000 and always big numbers at MD, VA & NC, soccer in the ACC is tops in nation.
http://soccertimes.com/ncaa/2006/mgames/sep29.htmNumber 1 SMU usually averages only 500 per game, but did have 750 for KY game-

Even with the good season that Clemson has had, they have to face probably the best team in ACC - Va. in 1st round, That shows just how strong the ACC is this year.
