Any predictions who will be lifting the trophy on may 21st?
i don't even know why i started this post.. everyone knows the red devils are going to come into this game confident and ready to get payback for what happened last weekend. Its the CL final, Man U will treat Chelsea like everyone does to Derby County. its going to be a massacre! 3-1 Man U prevailing.
Or Chelsea does what they always do...get results. In a repeat of the last time these two play Chelsea 2 Manchester United 1. Drogba and Ballack scoring for Chelsea and Ronaldo getting one for Man U (most likely a questionable penalty)
Chelsea won today, 2-0, to force the EPL Championship to be decided on the last day.
United will prevail.
I hope.
with ease too by the way. wigan on saturday? chelsea on the 21st with a full roster? hmmmmm i think the odds are well on
yeah well chelsea didnt have a full roster against man untied with a certain frank lampard being out hmmmm i think the odds are well on for a chelsea win in moscow
Manchester United are CHAMPIONS again!!!
Wigan 0:2 Man United
Chelsea 1:1 Bolton
haha... so put that in your pipe and smoke it Columbia21Champion. By the way Chelsea don't have a chance in the final. I pretty confident to say a shutout in goal for Van der Sar and a pair of goals for ronny in this one.
I'm gonna say 7-1 UNITED! They will match their best champions league performance, which I was in attendance (best night of my life), and destroy Chelsea.
Ha just kidding. I do think MANU will win 2-1 though.
wow so disrespectful you are of the BLUES
when chelsea win that title Wednesday in Moscow I'm changing my picture to Drogba lifting the title, since hell have scored an amazing goal just like in the semis
Chelsea will win. Essien will be a difference maker.
Will ESPN re-broadcast the game later Wednesday evening?
Perhaps on 2, Classic or U?
I agree with cabj12, Essien at right back is huge for Chelsea. He's a solid in the back but the reason at like him at right back is because he loves to get in the attack. He was brilliant against Liverpool and I think he'll give Man United problems as well. He is definitely one of my favorite players.
It's a huge day in professional soccer as the UEFA Champions League Championship is today live from Moscow, Russia. The prize, the European Cup, is the most prestigious club trophy in the sport. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m., local time in Columbia and is on ESPN, ESPN 360, ESNP2 and several other cable stations.
The Finals feature two English sides, Chelsea and Manchester United -- the first time ever for an all English final.
This is the fourth-straight year that England's Barclays Premier League has had a Finalist as Liverpool lost 2-1 to AC Milan last year in Greece. Arsenal lost 2-1 in 2006 to FC Barcelona in France. Liverpool defeated AC Milan 4-3 on penalty kicks at the 2005 Championship in Turkey.

If you're in the Charleston area, the 3 Lions Pub at Blackbaud stadium will open up at 1:00 pm (free) to watch the game. Beverages will be availbable and a limited snack menu. It should be a fairly large crowd w/ 2 English teams battling it out. Come on out.
A big crowd is expected at the Cock N Bull in Columbia (corner of Rosewood Drive and South Holly Street).
Chelsea 1-2 (5-6 PKs) Manchester United
Luzhniki Stadium @ Moscow, Russia
Wow! United do the Double!
I've said it before and will say it again -- soccer (football) is the "beautiful game", but the cruelest of sports when it comes down to "Russian Roulette", which is penalty kicks.

such bs, this really pisses me off, terrible red card for drogba after chelsea had dominated the second half and early runnings of extra time. I understand why a captain is taking the last pk but a striker definitely should have been up instead of terry, he played an amazing game though, hopefully the Chelsea team can stick together through this final loss, regroup add a few additional key players( preferably someone to replace Joe Cole) and get the treble next season
i'm sure terry would have been taking a pk anyways.. don't think it makes a big difference between striker and defender or anyone else on a spot kick like that. he would've had the prettiest one had he not slipped. just bad luck, probably the worst way to end a game and i wish it had of been on ronaldo's shoulders for the loss.
agree with you cabj12, when he missed that pk i was punching at the air, i was so excited because i thought were going to make all of their pks, should have known though, teams i always want to win the ucl always lose
had drogba not been sent off, terry would have been 6th to shoot for chelsea and they very well may have won. the loss is on drogba's shoulders
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!
MANCHESTER UNITED are CHAMPIONS again!!!
Great to see all my soccer friends at the Cock and Bull today in Rosewood. I won't mention names because some of you have bosses
Thanks to Rod, Brent, Dave, and the rest of the C&B crew for opening up and hosting us. Great atmosphere!
I hate that the game had to end in penalties -- seems to be a lot of that going on lately -- but at any rate I am happy that Sir Alex and a manager of his stature collected his second Champions League title and completed the Double!
Glory, Glory, Man United!
Zidane is to France as
______ is to Chelsea!
ooo I know DROGBA!
mmmmmmm man guys i hate to say this but I TOLD YOU SOOOOOO!!!!!!! Chelsea... no team chemistry. Man U fluid hard nosed play. Can't beat TRADITION
nice goal by ronaldo...petr didnt what was coming
Best game i have ever witnessed in the Champions league besides the AC Milan, Liverpool game that went into pk's. Man U and Chelsea's game will go down in histoy as one of the best football matches ever played in the CL.
In typical Chelsea fashion, the club fires manager Avram Grant several days after the Champions League final.
These are making the European rounds:
john terry is a wanker
he certainly is a prick
and when he went to moscow
he missed the winning kick
"John Terry Vodka -- distilled in London, bottled in Moscow"
youll just hating, hate to take a quote from my deerly beloved usc sports teams but wait till next year
I'm as big a ManU fan as anyone but I cannot fault Terry for his spot kick, in the words of Derek Rae, "its footballs answer to Russian Roulette" what a quote but really i was appalled at ronaldo's kick, ugh but he still is the best player in the world and john terry is still a great defender, look at the clearance he had on my boy giggsy in extra time, but enough about that GLORY, GLORY MANCHESTER UNITED!!!
