A Barnwell High School football player died on Sunday morning.

James Wooden suffered a heat stroke in practice mid-week and had been in Richland Memorial. He passed away at 5:00 a.m. this morning.

Please remember his family, Coach Joey Still and the Barnwell Community in your thoughts and prayers.

"Big" James Wooden was a great kid. He never had anything bad to say about anyone, nor have I ever heard anyone say anything bad about him. Losing him has been, and will continue to be difficult on our entire school and community. His parents have remained strong, but please continue to pray for them. We'll miss #79 on Friday nights.
