Notes about the VC:

If you look at the preseason rankings (I know they mean very little) and attach them to the groups you find:

Group A has an avg ranking of 6.1 with 1 unranked team
Group B has an avg ranking of 7.1 with 2 unranked teams
Group C has an avg ranking of 5.7 with 1 unranked team
Group D has an avg ranking of 6.9 with 0 unranked teams.

Pretty even distribution.

Are you going to attach any weighting to the size of the schools, especially now that you are punching in the middleweight division?

That would be a good idea. We also need to figure in how to avg unranked teams. #20?

HEY HURST!!

Speaking for the one unranked team in Bracket "C" we would be more than happy to be ranked at the #16 spot

......Maybe after the cup.....

Tony,

Rankings don't mean anything when they roll the ball out. I think Fort Mill was ranked 6th in the state in the preseason last year and we went 0-2-1 in our three Viking Cup matches, prompting a certain race car driver to prematurely proclaim that the Lady Jackets were dead!

Find the thread so I can apologize. If you can't, then I expect one Found two threads in which I patted FM on the back by saying they were down in the rankings for the time being and another in the VC thread where I proclaim the results merely another form of motivation to catapult them back to the top.

Must've been the "motivational" thread Dale.

Thanks again for bringing us back to life.
