Should clubs post the coaching list prior to tryouts? What are the pro's and con's?

Yes, if they know for a fact that a coach is returning or will take a team reguardless of the team they roster. I also fell it is ok for a club to leave the coach spot open and note that one will be assigned if a team is formed. To me the real key is that a club be honest up front and tell the parents where they stand. With everyone trying to hold tryouts at what seems to be the same time parents need as much info as possible to make a decision that will give thier child the best chance for success.

1. If you can not tell me who the coach will be for an existing team I wonder what direction the team may be going in! If you tell me one thing and another happens well... I think you can expect the same treatment from me.

2. If you do not have enough players registered to form a team and thus have no coach assigned I will figure it out and likely take my child to another club (if this is an option) with a coach listed (again I would likely figure out ahead of time weather or not that coach/club/team fits what we need, I have done exactly this).

Speaking of "coaching lists"--in reviewing the CUFC coaching line-up, I noticed a couple of "new" names--does anyone know anything about these guys---Eudy, Heilich and Brophy? Are they young guys just out of school starting their careers or have they "been around"?

Eudy head coach at Cardinal Newman - check their ranking to see his work.

Matt Brophy I would imagine. Don't know Heilich.

I thought I had heard of them--Eudy at Cardinal Newman rings a bell--have they been coaching club soccer at other clubs before joining CUFC?

While on the subjet.. How many teams do you think a coach should be coaching at club level? What about the spread of age groups or gender ie. coaching both u15 boys and girls teams or a u14 boys and u16 boys or coaching 3 teams? Just looking for thoughts.

Matt Brophy had been a coach at CESA for many years. Looks like a good move for him as it appears he has better teams that when at CESA.He is also the Byrnes coach.

Excellent question. It seems as though one team will suffer (probably the weaker one). If you have conflicts, there are sub coaches, but I have heard of someone coaching 2 teams, taking his 2 teams to the same tourney, and not showing up for one of the teams' games...not one...all of them.
