(In Greenville, SC) Wofford defeated Furman 4-3, clinching their first ever SoCon Regular Season Championship. Nick Schuermann had a hat-trick and Yakov Rubinchik had two assists to lead the Terriers. For the complete story, visit http://athletics.wofford.edu/news/2009/11/3/MSOC_1103092723.aspx

I was there and it was great. Kudos to Coach Polson and his staff. Amazing what organization and a professional demeanor means to a program. The Nick kid (no idea how to spell his last name) was unmarkable on set pieces. Some other college programs around this state missed out on this player!

Defender Nick Schuermann (Fort Mill) gets the hat trick in the Wofford win. How far has this program come along in four years!?!?

Always Right,
You spell the last name of the "Nick kid" like this: A-L-L A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N

Congrats Ralph!

Doesn't surprise me a bit, but to do it so soon is a testament to Ralph Polson, Barry Slagle, and Carlos Osorio. Well done guys!

Good thing that Nick signed with Wofford...he wouldn't have made it to NCAA tournament with any other school!

It was once said that you don't go to Wofford for the soccer, you go for the education. I think that with Coach Polson at the helm the tide has turned and you can now do both--get a great education and play great soccer!
