Any comments on the vikings recent level of play and why it seems to be off to a slow start?

This was supposed to be a 12-team tournament. Am I correct? How did other teams do? I, too, would like to see some scores. Who won?

2-1-1 for a tournament isn't exactly chopped liver.

Emerald has a new coach this year and I think he will do agreat job. He was playing alot of the young players to get them ready for the season. Emerald will be fine!!!

In fact they will play an exhibition against Batesburg/ Leesville this Friday and that will be a good test for both teams. Early, Early Early!!!

In fact Batesburg beat 96 1-0 this past week-end.
And Emerald scrimmaged 96 and won 5-0. So pre-season is just a good way to experience different things before the
actual season starts.

According to the schsl site, the new coach is Jacob Wyman, and im guessing this is the same Jacob that I played with at Coker College and he was asst. for Lander's Womens team. Jake was a very good and smart soccer player so Im sure he can pass on his knowledge to Emerald.

You are correct, It's Coach Wyman; who is also Womens asst. coach at Lander. He will do a good job at Emerald.

What do you think about the Emerald coach not starting a few key players in the final game against Gilbert??

That's the coaches decision. Some coaches look at preseason as a chance to get their subs more time. I don't think you can look into preseason scores and results too much, that's just my opinion though.

Coach Wyman was thrown in the fire late in the process so I am sure he has some things to work out. He is a fine coach and will do well at Emerald.
