Good job by Airport hosting this event. Too bad on the damp day, but you can't control that part of it. The only thing that could use some work is the small upper field. It's not very tourney worthy. Stadium field is very nice arena.

Congratulations to Swansea for a great tournament!

Kids play sports because they find it fun. Eliminate the fun and soon you eliminate the kid.

Thanks--we work hard at it. The top field is actually bigger than our stadium field dimension wise by the way but yes we do have some spots on it that need work--several teams commented it was in better shape than the "church fields" used at the Taco Bell but it is far from perfect--just like the weather! Swansea had a great showing and a very strong team this year. In fact--Swansea, Gilbert and Barnwell all had great tourneys for 2A teams--look out for them come playoff time!

Riverside led 1-0 at half, scored 2nd goal by senior Hannah Allison on a through ball midway through 2nd half. Final 2 goals came in last few minutes. Airport had some chances but there was no doubt Riverside was the better team. Congratulations to Coach Terry Archenhold and Riverside on a great tournament and good luck the rest of the year!

It's a good thing they were because, the championship game was moved up into it's slot and the bottom fell out as soon as it was over.
