If they go by overall record then DF had fewer losses. They only did one tournament and Lexington did 2..3 of their losses came then, otherwise they probably would have been first..??

How did Dutch Fork finished #1 in Region 5??? I assumed that coach Fryland would have known the tie breakers and in the other thread he stated Lexington would be #1

????

As I understand it, the tiebreaker system awards points for region victories with wins against higher seeded teams counting more than wins over lower seeded teams. Dutch Fork beat #3 seed White Knoll twice and Lexington beat them once. Lexington beat #5 Aiken twice and DF beat them once. They both beat the other region teams twice. So DF's 2 wins over White Knoll gave them more points than Lexington's two wins over Aiken. So Dutch Fork is the top seed.

Thanks for fixing the girls bracket in 3A.
One more question How does Chester play Riverside and Blue Ridge on the 10th?
Are they that big a team?

Ok coach P... apparently coach Fryland did not know this... SO Lex beats DF outright and then loses to DF in pks (I understood to be a tie) wouldn't lexington have the head to head? This puts Lex in the undesirable position of going down to Wando... If I was Fryland I would be checking into this

By SCHSL rules, no game can end in a tie. The tiebreaker procedure for Region 5-AAAA (all sports) does not take into account whether or not the game was decided in regulation. Coach Fryland has confirmed that the seeding on the brackets is correct.

The SCHSSCA counts it as a tie for ranking purposes. The SCHSL still sees it as a loss.

Coach P is correct with the points being the reason DF is the 1 seed!
Coach Fryland and the Lexington Girl's are not scared of Wando!! It will be a good game and it's ashame it has to happen 2nd round but that game, most likely, would have had to happen eventually!!
Best of luck to all teams!! The real season has began! haha

Good attitude keep. But don't look ahead too much. You have to get past Beaufort first.
