With Irmo having more youth, I agree that their time will come very soon. And yes, #7 Dunbaker, is a Sophmore.

i was at the wando game and i was like wow "whos # 7?" after his poetic goal, "yeah that little dude that looks like messi, he is a baller" haha i didnt mean messi in a bad way.

very very impressed with the kid, so i guess we have a mini-messi in south carolina haha, not joke, the kid is a baller, hopelly he signs for madrid and not barca haha

SoccerFan1234 ... I meant to mention that in my original post - that I couldn't hear NW students, but if they were doing the same thing, then shame on their administration too. YOU CAN stop this kind of behavior - only if you try. And ignoring it saying "it's just those kids these days" is not the thing to do ... what's wrong with telling a child NO and STOP - it's what's wrong with our society today.

And, yes, I'd love to talk about what's on the pitch only, but this had to be brought up. Period.

My vote for The Photo of the Year. Certainly captures the excitement and passion of the improbable ending to the greatest game played in 2010.

fans will be fans, this happens at every sporting event so you must not get out to much. next time you should try watching more of the game then focusing on highschool students supporting their team with passion. IRMO fans are just as classy as NW fans. Now for more important topic... See you again this time next year IRMO keep up the work, ya'll got it.

Congratulations Batesburg-Leesville. Coach Mouzan is doing a heck of a job with that program. There is a good article in the post and courier also. I couldn't get it to paste but there are classy comments from both coaches.

He's a very talented kid then, I saw him juke a few people out. I'll try to remember to look at him next season, he certainly seems to be going places.

I also saw #8 for Irmo, B. Padula (SR.) comfort his teammate after the Northwestern goal and that was something you rarely see. Usually you see teammates getting mad with each other or yelling, but this guy does something totally different. He makes sure that his teammate is calm and doesn't beat himself up over it. That was one of the classiest things I have seen a player do in a long time.

He's a senior? I was afraid he might be, I remembered him playing in the last years game, and he's a tall kid, so I figured he would be an upperclassmen...it's a pity he won't be around next year, because he's got a very focused, grounded style of defense that is fun to watch.

IIRC, the kid (#19?) didn't start and was sent on that half...being in that position is awful, you can't help but feel the coach has messed up by sending you in, and it's impossible not to blame yourself--I'm willing to admit I've been there before ! It was good to see an older teammate extend a hand and help him...it was even better to see the kid score later and redeem himself.

And yes it was classy...if only our fans had matched most of our players decorum.

#19, did start.
