Does anyone know why CESA Spartanburg is not on the list of SCYSA clubs?

You can find a list of the SCYSA affiliated clubs at this website:

http://www.scysa.org/about/clubs.aspx

You are correct CESA Spartanburg doesn't show up. I believe on last year's list CESA Columbia was shown under the Midstate heading. Not sure why CESA Spartanburg isn't showing up in the Piedmont District list.

What happened to SC Rush? I've heard rumors of teams....but none listed and they aren't listed as a Club on the above link.

Seems to be a lot more clubs available these days even with the big two (CESA & Columbia United) dominating the landscape. Viewing the link above, I would be interested in seeing when these clubs were started and what specific areas they serve. Thanks!

Interesting thought which will require additional consideration.

The question at hand remains - through my own interpretation - does CESA Spartanburg as a separate entity (Club) even exist? (Given that it is not listed on the SCYS web site). Similarly, it appears questions too can be asked of SC Rush.

Answers?

Cesa Spartanburg is part of CESA proper (Greenville). Kind of hard to put two club affiliations on one club. Cesa Columbia the best I remember had to be a different club to get around the dumb SCYSA anti area crossing rule.

To date there were a lot of fears about the CESA Spartanburg thing, but the guys from Greenville have done everything they said they would, so far, anyway.

They are in the same district so they can be the same club and use the same affiliation.

Here I go again!
