Is this what happened to your daughter for missing practice and VC this weekend to play in ECNL? That really stinks if the coach/captains did that to her. What is clear here is that we all agree that the soccer is better, but for social reasons more kids than not prefer high school. These social reasons have nothing to do with the game and don't help get a player into any college. When the kids were U 6 and U 7 it was the clubs that taught the kids how to play, not the school system. High schools benefit from the club system. It is each players decision on which event benefits them the most and all should support the decision and the player.
