I have not seen anyone in the Upstate that is not without issues. There are some solid overall teams : Fort Mill, Nation Ford, Greenville, Travelers Rest & Walhalla. Wade Hampton (G) has impressive record, but I have not seen them play yet. Not sure what is going on with Eastside? I saw them play early and they looked like they would be tough, but from their record, it looks like they are falling apart. Anyone know what is up with Eastside?

I do not get to see lower state teams much, but everyone talks about Myrtle Beach and/or Chapin and B-C has put together a solid record against some tough competition. I will let someone else talk about lower state.

From what I have seen with the upstate teams, the state probably goes to a lower state team. Of course, a lot can change between now and then.

Myrtle Beach, Chapin, BC are putting together solid records and Hilton Head is also young and looking strong they have impressed me from what i have seen them against fort dorchester and even though they lost to BC they played better soccer.

Upperstate
Region I-Walhalla, Daniel
Region II-Five teams playing for four playoff spots (Even with Mann moving out now Berea will contend). TR is senior laden so this is "their year". Greenville is solid and deep. Eastside is 0-4 and could be 4-0, never count them out. Wade Hampton is solid and Berea is very talented.
Region III-no comment other than Riverside is gone!
Region IV-South Pointe, Fort Mill, Nation Ford (any could take the state title).

Could be lowerstate's year!

I saw Hilton Head at the Charleston tournament. They have a good defense and are difficult to break down.

elprofe you should never judge a region just because one team has moved on to another level of competiton. sure the teams in that region are down this year but anything can happen on anygiven day. dont be suprised if one of the teams in that region makes a good run in the playoffs

to ucsoccer-I just came from the Greer vs. Wade Hampton game. That game could have easily been 0-10. After now seeing Chapman, Clinton, and Greer play; I will predict that Greer will most likely win that region (now that Riverside is gone and BR is devastated and fallen way off).
And I didn't mean to overlook any other teams in that region nor any other regions. You are right about anyone making a run in the playoffs. I do wish your team good luck.

Yes Hilton Heads defense did look very strong and under control they just need to find ways to get some goals in key games.

Elprofe- You have not seen Union County play this year obviously. I think we can easily take this region considering Greer and BR graduated basically there whole team last year and Riverside is gone. I know we havent had good teams in the past but i can promise u this year is different. We lost to Greers senior packed team last year 2-1 in ot. If we play our soccer then we will win this region and make a deep run in the playoffs. Yeah we lost to Indian Land, but there a very good team, a very well organized team. Watch out for us!

You are correct, I have not seen UC play (ever). Good luck with your season. Making the playoffs from your region should not be too challenging. (BTW-this years Greer team is heads above last year's team.)
