after looking at UC's schedule, it would be hard to imagine them NOT going undefeated (until playoffs). UC can finish fouth in that region or they could finish first but either way any team from region III will be one and done in the playoffs. Choose your poison from region IV-Nation Ford, South Pointe, Fort Mill, or York Comp! All four at a different level than anyone in your region!!

Yes, I agree with the first couple comments about a Lowerstate Team winning the Title this year. It just seems like this is everybody else's rebuilding year in the upstate, and also at Chapin, BC, and Hilton Head.

Yes, they still have some promise too them, but all in all they don't have the experience to make it far in the playoffs.

My money is on Myrtle Beach or Eastside, both with well-rounded teams with solid benches and solid starting players with experience.

Tomorrow nights match between Chapin and BC ought to give some insight into Region V and the lower state.

FM is off to a rough start and next weeks game against NHS will show if they have turned the corner or not on the rebuilding after losing 10 seniors. Would not discount the playoff experience though they have over half a dozen sr's and jr's who went to upstate final year before last and about 10-15 have played NHS about 8 times over the last 3 years. Every time they played them it has had playoff feel because they were always looking to knock off the defending champ!

I look for FM to be better later in year as depth will kick in for some teams and as they get more out of a couple of players who are coming back into form after injuries. Not putting them in finals yet, but would not rule out a deep playoff run.

Well AC Flora and Chapin look to be the front runners in Region V with BC losing to both of them in the past week. Looking to be an interesting region once again now that Chapin is back!!

Region II should get extra playoff spot this year - not Region V

Predetermined playoff brackets are also a joke - 1A & 2A seed for upstate/lower state playoffs - why not do the same for 3A & 4A?

Eastside and Greenville are always good. Wade Hampton is decent. The rest are below par. Plus, it's setup for football/basketball regarding the playoffs.
