At practice I had a kid without cleats, so a few kids said that had an extra pair to loan. I then told them if they had any issues with their feet to not swap cleats. One kid quickly pulled his away and put them back in his bag.
I later went and talked to the kid and apologized for the possible embarrassment and asked if he needed any help with his ailment. He told me he was fine now that he had broken his pinky toe last year!
