Savitz gets 600th victory

As impressive as the win total is, the winning percentage is what is most remarkable. A quick glance at the list in the ESPN piece seems to say that Phil's winning percentage is the second best among coaches with 500+ wins.

Congratulations Coach Savitz. Quick story.... my first year coaching I went to watch Irmo play early in the season. I obviously came away impressed and the next day I emailed Coach Savitz to see if he would give me some pointers. Having never spoken with me or met me, he emailed me back about an hour later welcoming me to the coaching profession and explaining some drills that he does at practice. He was very helpful and told me to email him anytime if I have any questions. He did not have to take time out of his day to help me, but he seemed happy to do it. First class all the way!!! Congrats again Coach Savitz!!
