Is this the first time Irmo has participated in the Palmetto Cup?

Irmo usually rests their players going into the playoffs....thought they would try something new this year! maybe it will pay off in the long run!

If you are going to argue a point, at least get factual information to back up your side.....

Irmo needs to rest their players from what?

From what I've seen over the years, I think there are two main philosophies regarding spring break:

1) most teams have worked pretty hard to this point – it's spring break, so actually give the players a break; chill, take it easy; when spring break is over, you come back and bust your tail til the end of the season (or something like that), and

2) while many teams use this time to rest, we're going to use it to stay in top shape and work on correcting any weaknesses in our game up to this point in the season (or something like that).

If you're Irmo, I guess you could look at it a couple ways: if they've had philosophy #1 since the late '70s, well, obviously it has worked for them quite well; or, since they have had a bit of a dry spell the last several years, maybe they decided to change it up and give philosophy #2 a shot.
