SCISA playoffs start next week (Tuesday / Thursday - championship at USC on Saturday) - so here is my best guess on AAA match-ups.

In the Lower State the top three seeds are already know:
1 Seed - Pinewood (Region Champs / Possible Co-Champs)
2 Seed - Porter Gaud (Possible Region Co-Champs with a win against Hilton Head Prep tonight)
3 Seed - Ashley Hall
4 Seed - will be dependent on the outcome of the Hilton Head Prep versus Porter Gaud game today. I believe if Porter Gaud wins then the number 4 seed will be Hilton Head Christian. If Hilton Head Prep wins I am not sure as they will be tied with Hilton Head Christian and have split their two head to head games.

Upper / Midlands
1 Seed - Not sure looks like Cardinal Newman and Hammond have the same record and split their games. Not sure the tie break procedure
2 Seed - Either Cardinal Newman / Hammond - I assume they are Region Co-Champs
3 Seed - Ben Lippen (were tied with Heathwood Hall, but looks like they had their tie break game yesterday and Ben Lippen won)
4 Seed - Heathwood Hall (based on play-in game loss to Ben Lippen)

Would love some confirmation particularly from the midlands. And any info on A/AA.

There seems to be a significant amount of parity in AAA this year:
Cardinal Newman beat Pinewood
Hammond / Cardinal Newman split their games
Pinewood beat Hammond
Porter Gaud and Pinewood split their games
Hilton Head Christian took Pinewood to PKs
Ben Lippen beat Cardinal Newman
Heathwood Hall beat Hammond

Should make for an interesting playoffs!

Actually the score of the PG vs HHP game was:
Porter Gaud 5
Hilton Head Prep 4

Sorry for the wrong info earlier - seeding does not change.

How did CN end up a #4 seed? I thought they split with Hammond?

Official SCISA playoff brackets.

http://0346153.netsolhost.com/WordPressb...%20Brackets.pdf

Upper state final seedings:

1 - Hammond (7-1 record - lost to Heathwood Hall)
2 - Heathwood Hall (6-2 record - Lost to Hammond once and Ben Lippen once)
3 - Ben Lippen (5-3 record - Lost to Hammond twice, Heathwood Hall once)
4 - Cardinal Newman (0-8 record - ??)

It appears that Augusta Christian who ended up 2-6 decided not take their place as the 4th seed? I would have thought this would have resulted in a forfeit to Pinewood in the first round. Not sure of the logic to put CN in as the fourth seed - there were at least 3 other teams with better records than Cardinal Newman.

Tough to understand.

How can this be? I thought Cardinal Newman stands at 7-2 in SCISA play, beating Heathwood Hall and AC twice, beating Pinewood, and splitting with Hammond and Ben Lippen.

This can only mean one thing: ineligible player. But, if so, then how do they continue to play on?
