Does anyone have a breakdown of the club costs in S.C.? Seems to range anywhere from $200-$4,000 from what I can gather. I'd be interested in what the costs cover and what they include (or don't include). Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

We didn’t underestimate them. They were a lot better than we thought.

There's the three largest clubs. I didn't include the cost of the smaller clubs since I am not sure what part of the state you are interested in, and there really are too many to list. When looking at the cost you will see that some include what another club doesn't, etc. The costs listed do not include travel costs. That will vary greatly from club to club and even among teams within a club. It really depends on the number of tournaments and the distance they travel to those tournaments and to the league games.

I don't know that this helps much. You really have to look at where you want to play and go from there. The costs of playing at a particular level are pretty competitive no matter the club. Three I've listed all cost close to the same for the same level of play.

There are other costs, besides unis, that are not covered like practice shirts that are required to be purchased and bags and warm-ups, etc.

Interesting how similar the costs for each Club are?

Has there been some collusion going on?

Practice shirts are included, uniforms aren't. Uniforms are kept for three years. Here's what is included.

If you have a question about what is included and what the fees are, most clubs post this information.

I don't think it's so much collusion as competition.

cesa kits are extra. they usually supply practice shirts. cesa also changes their uniforms every few years, so you might want to find someone with stuff they are looking to sell, if it's close to a uniform change.

collusion??? seriously???

Uniforms are actually one of the larger variables in cost; I've seen clubs requiring kits ranging from under $60 up to the $200-300 range. That can make a pretty big difference in total cost for a season, even when the advertised club fees are very similar. I guess it just reflects a difference in philosophy as to whether it's more important to keep up a certain image, or to make things as affordable as possible for the players and parents.

I've got good news and bad news...
