Gilbert's boys team played for the AA State Championship two years ago and lost in the AA Upper State Championship last season so the locals do know a little something about the sport. Don't forget, It was only a year ago that the girls program was up and coming.

Gilberts field is not any smaller than most of the fields in the state. I think that there is one school in the Columbia area that plays on a short field because the football end zones had to be shortened.

Am I a little biased because I live in the area yes,is this the ideal location, no. Please direct the anger in the proper place and work toward getting the location changed for next year...

That being said, I think the facts of the SCHSL get in the way of their own argument about Stone Stadium hosting the finals. upstatesoccermom Throw In U Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 83	I am less concerned with the venue than why the girls must always play on Friday. If they cannot play all 7 championship matches on Saturday, then they should rotate the schedule and let the girls play on Saturday every other year.
