I wonder if they only pick from players who have schools that subscribe to their paper? Some interesting selections/omissions to be sure!

I believe Clark and Millard are academy players

If it is like anything in the past then no one pays attention to this all-state team. They pretty much pick players that schools subscribe to their outdated publication.

Why doesnt the SCHSL pick teams themselves? This would allow input from all coaches since all of the teams are members

I don't think that SCHSL though. That's the coaches association and not all coaches are members. I don't think the SCHSL picks an all-state team in any sport.
