I heard this week that Riverside Girls Head Coach Terry Archenhold has retired.

Coach, congratulations on an outstanding career.

Our two daughters had the pleasure of playing for Terry over a seven year span and played on a combined three State Championship teams.

More important than the wins, they learned the importance of team chemistry, having great teammates and the value of hard work delivering the result toward the goals the team set each season.

We wish you all the best. Go enjoy the grand kids, golf and your other pursuits.

I had the privilege and honor to coach against Coach Archenhold for over ten years. In my years of coaching, I have never encountered a coach with more class, dedication, vision and energy. The way he cared about his players, about Riverside High School and high school soccer as a whole in the state of South Carolina is something I always admired. He has built the Riverside Girls Soccer program into a legacy that will stand forever in the history of girls soccer in South Carolina. Coach, it is been my pleasure coaching with and against you and we at Dorman High School wish you the best. Thank you for all you have done to promote girls soccer and dignity to the sport.
