GILBERT SOCCER CLASSIC 2014

Make up Dates in case of inclement weather are Friday, March 7 – Saturday, March 8
8 Team Format. Each team is guaranteed 4 matches.
Each team plays 4 games that will consist of (2) 30 minute halves except for the championship game which will follow the South Carolina High School League regular season rule of 2 (40 Minute) halves followed by 2 five minute OT and to PK’s if necessary.. This will enable all teams to get to play a bigger variety of teams and will enable each to physically be able to play 4 matches in a 2 day format.
The 8 teams will be placed in 2 pools of 4 teams and will play 2 matches within their respective pools on Friday and 1 match within respective pools on Saturday. Saturday’s 4th match will pit the teams of the same place within each pool again each other. For example: Pool A #2 will play Pool B #2 for 3rd place in match 4.There will be a reasonable rest that meets the South Carolina High School League standards regarding rest in between tournament matches.
Entry fee: $300 covers the cost of officials, Certified Athletic Trainers on the tournament grounds for the entire tournament, Lexington County Law Enforcement as required by Lexington School District One, and team awards.
We will use our on campus football stadium and the lighted field next to our stadium to conduct our tournament. Games will be played at 5:00, 6:15, 7:30, and 8:45 on each field for Friday’s matches. Games will begin at 10 AM for Saturday’s matches and will end with the Championship match at 3:30.
