I would like to congratulate all of the teams from Region V 4a. Spring Valley came #4 in region and lost to Wando 1-0. Ridgeview came out #2 and took a very good Hilton Head team to 100 minutes before falling. #3 Dutch Fork has managed to be the only road team to win a 1st round game and continued with every game on the road to beat Hilton Head in their house with their refs in PKS. Irmo came out #1 and as always has managed to make it deep into the playoffs. I think that playing these teams in region down the stretch was what prepared the teams for the quality teams they have seen in the playoffs. By far the best showing of any region on the state in the playoffs. Should be one heck of a battle at Irmo on Wednesday. Great job DF, Irmo, Ridgeview and Spring Valley.
