once again, nobody cares about swansea at this point because we are discussing who is going to win upstate and we all know that its not going to be swansea

sorry pendleton coach for forgetting to mention you guys, but having played in lower state and not seeing yall much its hard for me to say...i suppose you guys may be the late season surge but good luck anyway

To me it seems pendleton is always a good team they just usually can't pull past other teams in the final rounds and loose...Maybe this will be their year...Hopefully it will. Personally I'd like to see them make it to state. And win if they have the talent

Who knows anything about Emerald? Did they lose many seniors?

i would like to know the scoop on emerald too, does anyone have any information on them. I would also like to know how waccamaw, wallhalla, and hanahan are doing if you know anything on these teams please post it.

i'm not too sure if waccamaw will be the victor between the 3 teams u mentioned, i'm leaning towards walhalla, but you never know.

PENDLETON!!!!!! Once again sorry, i knew i missed out a key team !!! I definitely think you are a contender from last year's records against ranked teams. There were some losses but it wasn't by a significant margin. All your losses were against really good teams, none of your losses were against teams with poor performances. Obviously we don't play you because you are upper state but it would be nice to have a match against you guys if possible (highly unlikely though). These are my top three contenders for upper state

Emerald
Walhalla
Pendleton (i totally forgot about them due to them arriving late in the rankings but a very much deserved spot in the Top 10)

I thought Waccamaw was in lower state first off. Am i wrong? Because Edisto played them a few rounds into the playoffs...and If they are in upper or lower...whichever, how many seniors did they lose for them not to be considered "a victor" as Star 11 said? I'm just curious.. They seemed like a good team last year so yeah

oh yeah sorry on my part, i'm being really sloppy these days !!!! Waccamaw is a good team but i wouldn't consider them as "a victor" because:

1. They beat Edisto in overtime
2. A lot of other teams in the rankings beat Edisto by more than one goal without overtime.

I looked at their scores from last years schedule and i was surprised to see the losses to Academic Magnet 4-1, and 3-2. Also the loss of 1-0 againt Bishop England but according to what i heard about that game, the conditions were very very mediocre.

Unless they had a bad game against Edisto or Edisto stepped their game up, if you can't perform in the playoffs, you are not a high caliber team.

Edisto performed
Wade Hampton performed
Hanahan performed
Bishop England performed

but obviously according to Waccamaw's record, they didn't perform up to expectation in the Edisto game.

I heard they barely managed to pull off the win. I'm pretty sure if it went to PK's that Edisto would have been a sure victor. They have an excellent goalie that improves with every game.

thanks for the kudos, one correction though is that we haven't fallen out of the rankings in probably 3 or 4 years. Last year at one point we were ranked 3rd in the state unfortunately couldn't get past a tough Walhalla team in the playoffs.
