The rankings are very interesting. When was the last time that Irmo was ranked that low? Must be shocking to them.

2004.... I started to say the same thing, but upon further review this is still in my mind considered pre season rankings. I have to say that I am more surprised that Ft Mill is ranked so high with the relatively easy wins and a 3A loss. James Islandd is another surprise. Irmo has a losing record and is ranked. Obviously the losses are to a NN team that is real and northwestern which is a perennial in 4A.
So ... should they be were they are?.

Where you are at the end of the season is the only thing that matters.

As far as Lex is concerned, I said that they were better than many people think and they will make some noise this year. Just like I said that Chapin will be around (I would be careful if I was a 4A team playing Chapin).

WDIM... At least provide a reason for your comment. I provided my thoughts as to why I believe they were too high...

Dutch Fork(01) (3-1-0) T 1-1
Ben Lippen (1-2-0) W 2-1
Clover (2-1-0) W 5-0
Sumter (0-3-0) W 9-0
Byrnes (1-2-0) W 6-0
Daniel (3-0-0) L 1-2 PK's

Fort Mill's only loss comes to a strong Daniel team in PK's. They tied a strong Dutch Fork team, and also took out Ben Lippen not an easy team. If you say they didnt score enough against clover and Byrnes not every team is taught to keep scoring goals after the game is obviously over.

WDIM... It was my understanding that scrimmages were not considered in the rankings. If they were then Irmo should be higher. As they tied Dreher 1-1, beat AC Flora 11-0, beat Dorman #5 2-1 and beat Ben Lippen 3-0.

All I am saying is that based on the schedule to date "that I believe" was used for the rankings, both FM and JI are too high.
