This week will decide region 5. With the top three (DF, Irmo, SV) all beating and losing to another, who will come out on top?

What do you think RealSC? What does BenP think? it doesnt matter what we think

I'm gonna say that Irmo will come out on top after a not so great start to their season.

Well. Here are the scenarios.
Dutch Fork wins tonight, Spring Valley wins Friday.
Its a three way tie, and I don't feel like looking at their scores and everything to see who would win the tie breaker. If Irmo wins friday, they win their region outright, and Spring Valley would have to win both games this week. Dutch Fork can't win outright. My thoughts are Spring Valley wins tonight, and I'll tell you who I think will win region after tonights game.

Im not sure who will win, it depends on the outcome of the DF vs. SV game. Either way region 5 is matched up with the weaker region 6. I believe that all the teams from region 5 will end up playing eachother again after the season is over and as we move closer to the state finals.

I think the final region standings will be:

1-Irmo
2-Spring Valley
3-Dutch Fork
4-Ridgeview

I see Dutch Fork losing to Spring Valley and finishing with 3 losses in the region and Irmo beating Spring Valley on Friday. I will say it again... Coach Savitz is purely the reason Irmo winning. As for Spring Valley and Dutch Fork, who i think both have more talent that Irmo, they can't ever finish the season and we all know that Irmo can.

I don't think you're even close on Dutch Fork having more talent than Irmo. MAYBE in the back, but then again, Irmo hasn't given up 4 goals to anyone but Norman North, and 3 to Northwestern. There is no doubt in my mind that the rest of the Irmo squad is a league above that of Dutch Fork. Spring Valley however rivals Irmo for the most talented team in the region, and if Irmo does win, you're probably right that Savitz will have a lot to do with it.

Are you kidding benp? I have talked to many of people before this year and during the year and almost ALL are in agreement that DF has the most talent in Region 5, probably in the entire state. DF lacks in other areas but the talent is not one of them.

Savitz is the x-factor every year for Irmo and this year is no different so come May, look for them to be there. If DF could get there stuff together then they may give Irmo a run but right now I see DF losing in the first or second round the of the play-offs which is a huge disappointment for what DF had returning this year.

OH yea and it was SV 4-1 DF. DF defended all game and SV attacked... it only spells bad things for a DF team when they pin themselves in their own half.

Tigerman. You are wrong. You have a brother that plays for Dutch Fork, and therefore your opinion is completely irrelevant. Also, if they are the most talented team in that region, what is their problem? coaching? Maybe its that their fans (you) don't even support them, and keep telling everybody that they aren't good, and they are going to lose this game and that, and that they will probably not make it past the second round in the playoffs. Please, if you pull for Dutch Fork, stop talking about how good they COULD be, but be positive about what they have done, and what they might do. They beat Irmo, they were finalists at the Lake Murray Challenge, thier not doing bad, please stop demoralizing them.
