I do believe you made your point about the Woodmont game. Now, lets just await the game tomorrow. Riverside has a great tradition and always fields excellent, skilled teams. It is a difficult challenge for Flora. Good luck to both teams.

im sure you have been watching alot of games while filling up coolers with gatoraids and watching your sweet billy play soccer but making statements like youve beaten a true upstate school proves you know nothing about soccer so stop trying to back up your kids high school team and go make me a sandwich

sideline24, how sad for you that you apparently have not had unconditional support in your life and don't know how to contribute to a discussion without resorting to immature personal attacks-
"true upstate school" referenced the geography involved, so you have also insulted Woodmont. All you are doing is representing your area as an ignorant big mouth who doesn't have the social skills to communicate - if - and i am saying if, not when, we lose tomorrow night, I will not hesitate to congratulate Riverside and wish them luck in the next round. Try looking up the word "sportsmanship" in the dictionary.

Well, I can say first hand, I have been around soccer for 8 years, and I have learned alot, but let's get a couple of things straight about the game.... first off, AC Flora did not get the goal that tied the game. They got a corner kick, that was called a goal kick by the linesman, who had a better view then the center, yet the center over ruled it and gave the corner to Flora. The ball was kicked... Woodmont keeper deflected it, and it hit a Woodmont defender and bounced into the net. Yes it still counts as a goal, BUT it was not made by skill or talent by any player for AC Flora. The 2 goals scored in the 2nd overtime round, were BOTH offsides and should have been called back, but guess what, they were not!! The 2nd OT period should, had the game been called fairly, ended still at a 2-2 tie. Which would have sent the game into PK shoot out. The linesman tried to call the first one back, but the center yet again overruled him.
Like I said earlier, AC Flora is a good team, but Woodmont out played them last night, unfortunately it is hard to win when you play a game agianst 14.
I knew the ref was going to go the way he did, mins into the game. A Woodmont player gets a card for a 'hard foul' which was a legal tackle. What did AC Flora (after many 'hard tackles', shoving the opponents, and trips) have to do to get a card? If you say 'clothesline' the keeper then you get a bozo cookie because you are correct!!
You can say what you want ColumbiaMom, but Woodmont should be the one playing Riverside tomorrow.

If you look at other parts of the board, you'll see that these high school kids love to get an adult riled up. Just let it go...it doesn't matter if they think you should be on to round 2 or not. Sometimes it's hard for people to admit that their season is over. Congrats to Flora, and maybe these other guys that are upset will get another chance next year.

for the record i don't even play for woodmont nor have i seen them play, i play for another highschool in the lowerstate, i just think its stupid how moms get on this site and try to lecture people on playoffs and soccer
