whatever kind of crowd SV brings to the game will have no effect. the wando crowd is too big and too loud. i was extremely surprised to see how many ppl came out to the irmo/wando game.

The way the ref. handled the situation wasn't good. He was shoved into the post but, one ref. said the Wando player didn't and the other did...the play resulted in Sean Flynn getting a yellow (for some strange reason) and an ejected Warrior.

Whatever it was that the Viking did to get a yellow is beyong me.

A question benp, I believe you would know better than most...Say in this situation, if the refs. don't agree on a play, what gives one ref. authority over the other? (I honestly don't know the answer, and I don't mean any disrespect for your opinion because I agree with the call just not the way the ref. handled it)

I talked to both referees after the game. And it wasn't so much dissagreement as not seeing it. Because the play was off the ball, the near referee didn't see it, he was watching other areas, where the ball was likely to drop. However, he didn't question the far referee who did happen to see what had happened. If however, they had dissagreed, the decision is basically up for grabs, and the one with the more dominant personality is likely to win. I guess whoever is closer is the one who makes the final decision, though I've never run a two man.

I don't think the crowd handled the situtation very well either. Both sides! The play was very conjested..the SV parents screaming for a card..had no idea who had actually fouled Flynn.

Flynn got the card for language (lucky to only get a yellow).

To bring this back to the present.

I like the fire/passion SV plays with..and they need that to win tomorrow..but sometimes it can bite them in the arse.

One more fact about the ejection. As I understand it from players on the field, Sean told both refs and the coaches after the game that he was not pushed.

from what i heard about the previous SV-Wando game is that after Sean received his yellow, he used some pretty foul language, and said something that could have warranted arrest. any one else know any more about what he could have possibly said when he got to the bench?

expect this game to be a battle, especially since there is already bad blood between the two. i still think wando will win a close one.

but if he wasn't pushed, what caused him to be thrown into the post with such force, or so it seems, i was not at the game and im only posting what i've read and heard.

wando will win a squeaker and will play with more heart for a retiring coach on a senior dominated team. 2-1 wando

The specifics of this incident, I think are a moot point now..and won't have any impact on the game tomorrow..buuuut..

I was about 8 rows up when Flynn came off the field after his card. I heard EXACTLY what he said (as did the SV crowd)..and it doesn't need to be repeated here. All that really needs to be said is.. if Flynn can learn to channel the energy he has been focusing at refs and other players..into himself..he'll be a phenominal talent! ..better than he already is.

As for being pushed/shoved.. no way. As I remember the play..at least 4 players went up for a ball. Sean Flynn comes down off balance, his shoulder/neck hit the post..with his hands up..he didn't hit his head..as I could tell (i'm sure he made a point of protecting his already broken nose)..but he did lay there as if he'd been knocked unconscious or something.

The Wando player Andrew Eppelsheimer that was charged with the foul on Flynn had to be at least 3-4 inches smaller..and 20-30lbs lighter. Pretty hard to believe (in my opinion) that the biggest guy on the field was owned by someone Eppelsheimer's size. When they all collided Andrew probably knocked Flynn off balance..but he didn't SHOVE or PUSH or anything malicious like that.
