I'm pulling hard for Lincoln. If they win...just wow. Have any of you ever been to Lincoln and seen where it is?

The 2A game I could careless. BE probably wins, smokes pot afterwards and gets into several brawls down in 5 Points. BE administration gives them brass knuckles and a bong instead of a state championship ring to commemorate their fine season.

3A will be an impressive game. I'll say Dreher pulls it out 2-1 or 3-1.

4A NW wins in a close battle 2-1.

I'll look at 4A. First of all, I am absolutely shocked that Fort Mill beat both of the teams playing for the 4A state championship. I would never have expected that at the start of the season.

I'm pulling for Northwestern. This is their third trip in four years to the final. Their time has come. The big field will play to their advantage and I really think they will finish their chances. Remember what they did to Farragut. They are not going to put up a touchdown and a field goal against Spring Valley, but if they get that offense rolling......

It don't get no better than to have 4 local teams in finals. Irmo, BC girls Friday. Dreher, SV boys on Sat. Get out there Fri. and Sat., and support your respective teams. NW, Dorman, Riverside will bring a ton of fans, too.
PACK THE STONE!!

I really think Lincoln might be able to pull this out. They've been flying under the radar all year..and have some pretty impressive results.

Lincoln - 3
CC - 2

BE/Walhalla..who cares.. I'm pretty sick of BE now.

I was telling old benp the other day..that if any team from the lowerstate can take it home this year..it's Dreher. They have the keeper..the defense..the scorers..and they play the right style of ball. They're tough enough..fast enough..and they have the skill to beat Riverside. I'll have to admit..I don't know much about Riverside..but beating Daniel 3-1 is impressive..ontop of their win over Greenville. So..it's going to be a battle.

I'm hoping..

Dreher - 3
Riverside - 1

As for 4A..I don't know what to say.. I have to go with Northwestern because I picked them long ago.. but I honestly won't be disappointed with either winner..as long as it's a close match. That being said.. I'll say..

NW - 2
SV - 1

for 4A..This should be a good one. My heart is with NW but I think Fort Mill, Lexington and Mauldin demonstrated that AGRESSIVE play in the midfield can be enough to put NW off balance. The trick will be to do it without accumulating the yellows as Mauldin did, or worse,a devastating red. If SV can make those 'meaty challenges' (Newcastle magpie!) without seeing the card than I predict a penalty kick finish and several heart attacks for the fans. Toss a coin on who.

who_me i agree with you that this may be a close game, decided in the final minute, ot, or pk's. i'd expect northwestern's line up to be a little different than most have seen in the playoffs. enzo has been playing up top rotating with andrew phillips on the smaller pitch. now that we are on a larger pitch i would expect to see enzo rotate back to mid with kropp and phillips up top. the larger playing surface will allow enzo space to be crazy....i have a sense that enzo will do something spectacular. 1-0 nw

SV cannot hurt themselves with their mouths. If they lose one of the Flynns, the game is NW's easy.
