Yesterdays 2A Championship game, Walhalla was way too slow to compete with the underclassman led group of BE players.
BE controlled the possession and direction of the game on almost every play.
by the way...like I think 22 is a closet "softball" fan!

Riverside will be basically the same team. They lose three seniors but only two of them started. Matt Ayers at right mid and Brad Kocis at right back. Kocis is going on the play a PC next year. Riverside will be very strong the next two years.

Looking at individual statistics, there is an amazing lack of seniors this year. Almost all of this year's standouts will be back and have another year of maturity. 2007 should see some great soccer!

With regards to the upstate, Eastside loses the rest of the core of their awesome state championship team from last year, but the two top 3A teams will be Riverside and Greenville, and probably in that order. Let's not forget that Greenville has a strong junior class and will be good next year, Finotti or no Finotti.

Even though I think that Riverside got some luck on their side to get by Greenville this year, they have a very strong sophomore class which will be their core for the next two years.

Cornerflag...were you at the Greenville/Riverside game? Where does luck come into that victory. I know people say that if these two teams played 10 times that Greenville would win 9 of them...but Riverside took every punch that Greenville through at them and never backed down. Talk about luck, I think Greenville was lucky to have not been down a goal or two at the half instead of a 1 - 1 tie. Greenville will be very strong next year and will want big time revenge...it will be a great game no matter who their coach is. Don't forget about Daniel...as long as Seth is there they will always be a team that can knock you off.

I guess that I should have made my point a little bit clearer. I am one of those people that believe that Greenville would beat Riverside the majority of times. When I talk about luck it isn't one or two plays in the game but I mean that things fell right for them against Greenville in the playoffs. That probably wouldn't happen every game.

With respect to Daniel, you are correct. I completely left them out and should not have done so. They will definately be in the thick of things but I still think that Riverside is the team to beat.
