maybe someone should ask the players?

old saying is "a tie is like kissing your sister".

shall we also settle for ties in basketball, baseball, wrestling and so on.

Decide the game on the field. If nothing else its a win or a loss and everyone gets practice in PK's for when they need them.

guardrail,

i agree basketball and baseball would be very dissapointing to end a tie.

but, i am pro-PK.

even though, i don't like the fact that the game comes down to 5 kickers and a goalie represeting an entire team's effort.

I still say ties are better. Even if you schedule weak teams It is how you do in in your region. There are no weak teams in the play-offs past the first round. Ties are a part of soccer. If a coach does then he can not expect to do well later on. We ( region7&8 ) do not have to worry about that. [Smile] we play the same teams every year! Our AD's make sure of that. We do not even make out our schedule,it is already made for us. How many coaches would like that? I hope we can discuss this in 2 weeks. I am looking forward to it. I hope we can get the HSL to work with us.
