Ridge View High School located in Northeast Columbia now has a Varsity boys soccer vacancy that will include teaching physical education. The teaching schedule includes a semester 1, period 6/7 block, advanced pe soccer course.

Is there any word on who is going to take over the job at Ridge View...and what is Coach Darlington planning do to?

Coach Darlington is planning on teaching at a school in Lexington District One closer to his home in Lexington. I believe he's going to be helping out a football program at the Middle School level. Super guy and the high school soccer community is going to miss his contributions.

I heard that the job was filled.. don't know by who...

Heres the latest on the Ridge View Job.

Kevin Darlington is leaving to go to a Middle School closer to where he lives. He will teach PE and be the Head Football Coach.

AS for the Ridge View Job. JV coach John Donohue has been named as the New Head Varsity Soccer coach, and is replacing Kevin as the Department Head in the PE department as well.

Best wishes to Coach Darlignton as he furthers his career in other areas, and good luck to a young Ridge View Team next year with a new coach.

Ridge View has an advanced PE soccer course!? what exactly is that?

Its basically a weightlifting class, but in this district you can't have a weightlifting class, by name. One of the advanced PE classes is soccer oriented, a lot of soccer is played, as well as some sport specific lifting. Unlike a regular PE class, this one has no state standards, and no specific cirriculum. Ridge View also offers some basketball and football Adv. PE classes
