Agree with Kyle on Germany's hospitality. Berlin was amazing when I was there (and there were not games there). If you don't understand the fan fests I'm referring to (and granted, I only went to the one in Berlin), think of a two-mile long stretch of boulevard with vendors, little games, art, and of course, lots of beer and sausage and about 10 huge screens showing the games.
Even when I was in Praha and Salzburg, there were huge screens on the downtown square packed with Brasilians and Frenchmen and Italians and such.

And I pity you people that had to listen to Mustyburger, etc. All the games I watched were in French or German and covered in a smoky haze from all the cigarettes in Europe.
