Girls game at 12:00 noon, followed by the boys match at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 at Furman University's Eugene E. Stone III Stadium.

Why does the north girls have a head coach and assistant, and the other teams are co-coaches?

Why can't the original players selected be listed and recognized for their achievement. I know of at least one (told there were others) that was chosen and has a prior commitment and would be about 6 - 8 hours late in arriving at Furman on the first day and he was not allowed to be on the team. Told he could not play and they would have to choose another. In the past they have let players arrive late. What a shame.

The reason why is because it takes away from the player that was an alternate and called up. The player should be proud of the selection, but that's the policy. Please respect the honor of the other selections.

NOTREBMALHH, the only players that are listed as "Alumni" of the North-South Soccer Classic are actually people that played in the event. The fact that some players are not able to participate happens every year -- some don't even get nominated for the game because of other commitments. Those are the facts of life!

That would be one long list! I had two players back when Ron Johnson was coaching that made the initial selection, but had planned a beach trip with some friends and would not cancel! Ohhhhhhhhh, it killed me inside! Girls are so different than guys!
