Congrats Bridge! I know that my son enjoyed seeing all of his old SC friends....made the trip well worth it. Just to brag...he had 2 shutouts vs Chicago Magic and Dallas Texans..all those years of South Carolina training did him well!

rumor here in the Lowcountry is that some of those kids on that U15B CUFC team got in some trouble during state cup...? Did those kids go to Disney? Did the CUFC take any action against those kids? Again, I'm not sure of the specifics nor the validity of the "rumor?" Could you clarify?
Thanks for the info and confirmation. Interesting development with regards to those four players? So the violation was serious enough to warrant dismissal from "State Cup," but not, to prohibit participation at Disney!? Sounds like CUFC is sending mixed message(s) and setting a dangerous precedent? (Which poses the question to whether or not SCYSA got involved since it was at State Cup?? Doubtful.)
Maybe the infraction fit the punishment or maybe the CUFC "smoke screen" (no pun intended) is just lip service?
So, I take it that these kids were smoking. What? Cigarettes/marijuana? IMO, they should not have been allowed to attend if they did indeed do this.
On another note, based on the results that the SC teams posted in FL, what do you think this says about soccer in SC?

We(the CUFC 91/92 boys) played good against the Texans(nation finalist). Went into half time equal at 1-1, but in the last 10 minutes they came away with 2 good goals. Our goaley(Ben Limbaugh) made some great saves, to keep us close, but we couldn't finish up top. In the second game we played CASL elite. We went into half time equal at 0-0. With about 20 minutes to go, Zack Acree finished one. We held up at defense and Ben, once again, had some amazing saves to hold out a victory. Last we played Potomac. With about 20 minutes to go they scored. We played our hearts out, and with about 5minutes left I(Antoine Parris) put one away. We kept fighting all the way to the end, and with one more chance left, we couldn't put it away. It was a hard fought game. But we came away with a tie. We finished second in our group. It was a good tournament.

Better day at Disney against wonderful competition for all of the South Carolina girls teams:
W-L-T, GD, Average GD 1-2-1, -1, -0.25
CESA U15G Premier lost 1-0 to Magic (Chicago) [Predator] CESA U16G Premier won 3-2 over Delaware [Predator] CESA U17G Premier lost 1-0 to Dynamo (Indiana) [Predator] CESA U18G Premier tied 2-2 with Countryside (Florida) [Showcase]
CESA U16G still has a chance to advance out of bracket with a win tomorrow and some losses by other teams in their bracket. CESA U18G must win tomorrow to advance out of bracket.
