I heard from a source that the Gamecock goalkeeper has been removed from the team following an arrest. I know he was not in attendance for the scrimmage against Erskine Wednesday night...can anyone confirm this?

Mike Gustavson has not been enrolled at USC since the beginning of the semester, but it has nothing to do with an arrest.

MIke Gustavson's departure from the USC men's soccer team has nothing to do with an arrest. Rumor has it he will be traveling to Europe (Italy and England) to try out with several first and second division teams. Best of luck to Goose.

Man that stinks....Why cant he just finish school instead of leaving early. This is a blow to the USC team for sure.

A close to 0.00 GPA probably didn't help! Same thing with Jamal Geathers. Those Aiken Fire kids must have concentrated too much on the pitch instead of the classroom!

Johnny Q do you know what you are talking about? Jamal is enrolled at Clayton State in Atlanta, GA, and im pretty sure the Aiken Fire had about 20 more players of which what 15 went on to schools (to play soccer) such as yale, colgate, furman, clemson, vanderbilt.... College isn't for everyone pal. Regular students struggle in college as well.

Ya well...a 0.00 gpa at USC isn't even trying...pal. I don't think anyone was regarding him as a SPED (special ed.) He's just uber lazy.

It's like an acomplishment to be that ignorant.
