It's pretty crazy that Fort D got so many votes saying that they were going to run the region. They are already 1-2, and they haven't even played their talented rival Summerville yet. Things don't look so good for Fort right now. They were doing great, rising in the rankings, and now have 2 consecutive losses to unranked teams. Next week, Fort will not be ranked...congrats to both Beaufort and West Ashley on the wins. As of now, I have to say I think Beaufort is going to take the region however.

I wouldn't count out Fort D or West Ashley this early in conference play.
I also think Cauley's brother, York ( aka. "Party Boy"), is pretty good for Summerville.

Since this topic is about the best players in region 8, I'm going to continue on that subject.

Stratford's Austin Savage is one of the states leading scorers right now with something like 15 goals I believe.

Fort Dorchester's Randall Eads has 19 goals, Justin Keys has 9 goals, and Bobby Cyr has 6 goals.

Any other leading scorers in Region 8??
